I was born here in Canberra so was Mum and my Grandmother, though she was born in Queanbeyan.
Ill skip the next 48 years as my wonderful experiences would fill a book though ive been told that I should write one.
But i will mention my special times:
as a preteenager i watched as my father who was in the Army go to Vietnam to film footage for TV, he has many photos displayed at the Australian War Memorial which I am very Proud.
I spent my teenage years in my parent’s Opal shop serving large tour groups, television celebrities and popstars, I learned to see these people as just people and gained invaluable life skills.
At 21 I went to the Gold Coast for a holiday and ended up staying there as I was offered a job as a Meter Maid. Well here I was again dealing with Tourists from in front of a camera, well with having a photographer father i was used to that.
I tired from the lifestyle and returned home to normality.
I became a diamond consultant which I loved.
After many great years of fun I met a wonderful guy, fell in love and we have a great easygoing funloving 11 year old son.
Birds have always held a special place in my heart and therefore I was given the opportunity to help rehabiltate wild birds for Wildcare.
I stopped working 9-5 due to having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so i had plenty of time to devote to those who needed me.
I was given some doves to rehome and did some research on the dove.
Well, what happens when you google “White Dove”?? You get countless ads for white dove releases.I realised that I had finally found my calling!We sourced the best white birds from Interstate, beautiful cages from the UK and we all trained together.
We now have 75 well trained birds and each dove release is unique and special.
Each day brings something to cherish.
